Videos....during the week!

First, I called grandma while Boo was being very talkative. You can barely hear grandma on the phone.

Next we have my girl, hangin' out with her mama on the couch.

Now we have the Boo eating some of her homemade applesauce.

And, lastly, we have video of Olivia being very amused by Oswald. Oswald was not so amused by Olivia. He and Richard usually ignore her unless she's crying, in which case they run away like she's a vacuum cleaner. Apparently, laughing sounds enough like crying for Oswald to not be digging her. He was sitting next to her just fine until she touched him and giggled.

Loads of stuff

Six month check-up today. 18 pounds. 27 inches tall. Head circumference 17 inches. Height and weight put her in the 50-75th percentile.

She had her first carrots on Monday. No allergic reaction, so we're moving on to zucchini! And with that, we found her first favorite food. She clearly loves it. She smiles and laughs when eating it. One of the bonuses to her trying solid foods is colored poo! We got our first orane poo on Wednesday, and this morning, it was green! Yeah! Love the colored poo.

A few video clips. Whenever she's talking, I grab the camera, and she shuts up. Dang it! She's also completely fascinated with herself in the camera viewfinder.

Also, the other night, we heard her clearly not sleeping, so I went into her room to find she had pulled her diaper cover off and thought it was fun-ny.

I've been trying to upload all three videos, but blogger is experiencing problems. I'll try the other two later. In the meantime....

A walk around the block, and a trip to an Islands

We took Boo on a walk using her Baby Bjorn and the all-important denim cap.

Last night mama decided she needed a night out, so we took the Boo to Islands. She couldn't partake of the food (much to her chagrin), but she did partake in some floppy seat and enjoyed watching Tony drink his tea. When she needed something to chew on to ease her teething, Tony gave her her pacifier, but had to contort a bit to do so.

Considering that she had a field trip at daycare AND was out and about at a crowded restaurant, I'd say she did pretty well, mood-wise.

Floppy seat and a bad camera

Whenever we take Boo to Costco (especially), I've been dying to use her floppy seat cover. It allows us to place her in the shopping cart seat and not worry so much about her bonking her head or about sanitation or about her car seat carrier taking up so much room in the cart. Well, she's finally big enough to use it, and I did so for the first time yesterday on a trip to Target.

The pics were taken with my cameraphone...the same cell phone that just tanked last week. I'll be getting a new one soon (I can still make and receive calls now, my display is just backwards, upside-down and grainy...and the camera takes pink pictures), but in the meantime....

Up and running

We've got a monitor again, so here's the video from last week's party.

Boo is good. A little bit of a stuffy nose and cough (from teething), but otherwise, fine.

We've gotten reports that she gets very excited when her pre-schoolmates have their singing/music hour. I know I've been there when Vernessa's son is playing the piano and she kicks and giggles. Consider that and her glee when Tony plays his trumpet for her, I'd say the kid digs music.

So on to the videos. These clips are from video taken at our friend Dave's house. He and his wife, Betty, love to entertain and have folks over from the congregation in groups of about 20 every few weeks (can't fit everyone at once). In the video you'll see Janis (blonde woman), a good friend of mine, and Natalie (younger brunette with long hair). Natalie is the one who recommended Boo's daycare. You'll also see Natalie's husband, Robert, coming over to tell Olivia she's welcome at their house anytime. I keep hearing that Robert really wants a little girl (they have a 5 year old son named Joshua) but that Natalie isn't feeling it...she just loves to hold MY baby. You'll be able to see Dave and Betty in the background while Tony is holding Boo.
