...too long since last update. I'll try to add pics/video this weekend.
Boo is good. Enjoying her rice cereal immensely, though it's sometimes a wrestling match to get it in her mouth. She tends to jam her fist in her mouth between bites, so we have to literally pin her hands to her belly when we feed her. Her nona picked her up from daycare for the first time yesterday. Tony and I thought her West coast grandma would enjoy a weekly date with her, so we bought her a car seat base (took foooooorever to arrive) so she can pick her up on Wednesdays. I came home last night to Nona and great grandma in the living room with a happy Boo.
I'm going to attempt to go thru her closet this weekend. She's been fitting into clothes that at first glance I think are too big for her, but, being the tall baby she is, she keeps surprising me. I'd hate to have to get rid of an outfit she's outgrown before she even wears it.

Milestones for Boo
First, she had her four month checkup. She's 15 pounds, 4 ounces, which puts her in the 85% percentile. She's also 26 inches tall, which puts her OVER the 95th percentile. Boo kicks butt.
The doctor also cleared the way for her to start on rice cereal, so Tony and I gave her her first feeding last night. It was messy, but good.

Olivia has yet another man wrapped around her finger
Olivia met her uncle Michael today. I can't say for sure, but he sure seemed smitten to me. He was in deep smit.
Olivia was quite mellow for his visit. Maybe next time she'll talk his ear off like she talked ours off this morning.
I spliced together some video of the two of them. I found it very cute watching Michael, my big brother, talking to her and playing with her tiny hand wrapped around his big finger. Awwww.

Her first cold?
Well, Boo's had a stuffy nose for about a week now. On Friday I got a call from Vernessa (daycare provider) that she was having a tough time with her bottle due to her congestion, she'd only had two 15 minute naps and was extremely fussy. I left work early to pick her up and she had a fever that peaked at 100.2. It broke that night, however, and she's been normal ever since, though she still has a snotty nose. She slept so poorly Friday night that I brought her back into the bed with me and Tony slept on the pull-out in the living room last night. It worked in that she slept from about 10pm to 5am without a problem, unlike Friday night, when she woke up four times. I had the Vicks Humidifier running all night, now I just need to get the brain sucker (bulb) and suction out the snot. No pictures this week. Will try to take some tomorrow when Boo meets her uncle Michael!

I swear I don't beat my child....
So Boo is finally big enough (and able to hold her head up) to travel in the baby bjorn carrier facing forward. The other day I took her for a walk. She quite enjoyed being able to see the world instead of just my chest. She also looked awfully darn cute in her little denim cap, so I took out the camera. Cue a screamfest.

Here's a photo snapped of one of the last naps she was allowed to take in the bed. She's now moved back to her bassinet.

Today Boo wore her vintage (read: hand-me-down) blue velvet dress to the KH. When we got home, we decided to attempt to take a family picture. Boo put a stop to that after three attempts.

Two new videos...
Taken this weekend (in playpen) and today. I might add, they were taken BEFORE I learned that valuable lesson....never introduce the airplane game within an hour of feeding a baby.

Back to work - week two
This week Boo started daycare. She's a big hit. Vernessa, the daycare owner, LOOOOOVES Olivia, as do her employees. Olivia is the youngest of the group and I think the only one under a year old, so she gets lots of attention. Plus she hardly ever fusses and gives lots of smiles and giggles, so that adds to her popularity. I started taking my prenatal vitamins again (ran out four weeks ago) and resolved a gas/poopy buildup problem we had begun to encounter. Tony makes the daily phone call to check on her (figured I'd get too worked up). Yesterday he called me to report that, when he called Vernessa to check on Boo, he could hear her snoring in the background. Vernessa reported that Boo had burped so loud after her bottle that she woke the other kids up during naptime. That's my girl.
I went to the Children's Orchard with my co-worker, Christine, yesterday. She's got a little girl at home (29 months?). She's so tiny, she's only one shoe size bigger than Livy. I picked up some new headbands, hair clips and clothing and will try to get some pics taken this weekend. Mommy's happy to be home with the boo this weekend.
I had to stop myself several times last week from referring to myself in the third person at work. "Mommy needs to get more paper for the printer" and "Mommy needs to fax some documents to Redwood City". Oy.

More frequent updates
I've decided to utilize the remote feature of the blog website. I can email posts to an email address associated with the blog and therefore be able to provide more posts during the week (the email publishes to the blog).
That being said....I'll have to update the blog when I get home, if Livy lets me, because I have to leave in 6 minutes to go pick her up from daycare. So hang on, folks!
